Zapier connects Taku to thousands of apps. With this connection, every submission of a Taku form starts a Zap, and the Zap can add the lead to your email list, create a row in a sheet, post a message in Slack, or whatever else you need.

Step 1: create the Zap

Sign in to Zapier and click Create Zap. For the trigger, choose the app Webhooks by Zapier and the event Catch Hook. Click Continue. When Zapier asks for a child key, leave it empty and continue again. Zapier now shows a webhook URL that starts with https://hooks.zapier.com/hooks/catch/. Copy it and keep this tab open.

Step 2: add it in Taku

Open your campaign in Taku and scroll the sidebar down to Integrations. Click Add integration and choose Zapier. Paste the URL you copied and click Test and add.

Taku sends a sample submission to Zapier. Switch back to the Zapier tab and click Test trigger. Zapier finds the sample and lists every field of your form. If Zapier says it found nothing, wait a few seconds and click Test trigger again.

Step 3: finish the Zap

Add the action you want. When you map the fields, look for the ones under Data Fields, for example "Data Fields Email" or "Data Fields Company Name". Those are the visitor's answers. When you are done, publish the Zap.

Step 4: save the campaign

Back in Taku, save the campaign. From then on every real submission runs your Zap.

Good to know

Zapier only knows the fields it has seen in a sample. If you add a new input to your form later, open the integration in Taku, click Test and save, and test the trigger in Zapier again.

The field names come from each input's placeholder. You can change a name by editing the input in the form, but then you will need to map that field again in Zapier.

On Zapier's free plan, Zaps check for new data every fifteen minutes, so a submission can take up to that long to show up. Paid plans run instantly.

If Zapier is unreachable for a while, Taku keeps trying for about an hour, and the project owners get an email if it keeps failing. Nothing is lost: the submissions stay in Taku, and you can always find them under the campaign's entries.
